We invite all our children and youth in kindergarten and older to participate in our religious education program. Classes will be held on Sunday mornings from 9:15am to 10:15am beginning on September 18th. Additional information is below.
Please know that we follow the Diocesan Policy for ensuring a Safe Environment in our CFF program.
All staff and volunteers whom work with youth are required to complete the Diocese of Wheeling Charleston’s Safe Environment program. All adult parishioners are encouraged to complete the program to increase awareness and provide a safe environment for the children of our parish and larger community.
Safe Environment Certification includes:
1 — Background Check — Completing Screening One form
2 — Diocesan Policy — Reading the Diocesan Policy Relating to Sexual Abuse of Children & completing the DWC Policy form
3 — Virtus workshop — Complete online training at www.virtusonline.org. Step-by-step instructions are available. Print the Virtus Training Certificate.
Return all three forms to the Parish Office in a sealed envelope labeled “safe environment”. I would be happy to help walk anyone through this process and provide all necessary forms. If you have any questions, please contact our Safe Environment Coordinator, Brigitte Schmidt at 304-876-6436 or email@example.com
