Rediscovering Our Faith: A Journey through Vatican II
As we move forward from the Jubilee Year, Pope Leo XIV has invited the entire Church on a special journey of discovery. In January 2026, he begun a new Catechesis series of weekly reflections dedicated to the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) — not as a history lesson, but as a “guiding star” for our lives today.
The Holy Father challenges us to move past hearsay and rediscover the Council’s true heart: a Church that is alive, welcoming, and deeply in love with Jesus. As the Pope beautifully shared:
“The Council was not a break with the past, but a door to the future. Let us walk through it together, not to argue about the past, but to find the friendship of God in the present.”
Below, you’ll find the introduction to the series and links to each reflection, broken down into four simple themes that form the foundation of our modern Church: how God speaks to us, who we are as a Church, how we pray, and how we serve the modern world.
