Equally Sacred: Being a Catholic, Multi-Issue Voter
This election year, NETWORK Advocates for Catholic Social Justice have trained, both virtually and in-person over 2200 people—and now they’re coming to Shepherdstown WV! Join Meg Olson, Grassroots Mobilization Director, and Sr. Eilis McCulloh, HM, Education and Organizing Coordinator, on Sunday, September 8 after the 10:30 AM Mass.
During this nonpartisan 90-minute interactive workshop, you will learn about the issues outlined on NETWORK’s Equally Sacred Checklist, and explore what it means, as Catholics, to be multi-issue voters this election year. Then Sr. Eilis and Meg will share ways to engage in voter education and mobilization efforts, and you’ll have time to discern how you and your community can take action together. We hope you can join us!

For over 52 years, NETWORK, which was founded by Catholic Sisters to engage in political ministry on Capitol Hill, has been providing election year resources and trainings to Catholics and all people of goodwill to educate them on the key issues, provide factual information about candidates, and equip them to exercise their right to participate in our democracy. This workshop is an abbreviated version of our 4-session virtual training, “Informed, Engaged, and Committed: NETWORK’s Election Year Training,” whose name was adapted from the description of a healthy electorate in the USCCB’s Faithful Citizenship documents.
