“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace”

– 1 Pt 4:10

Parish life encompasses the elements of Worship, Formation, Service, and Community. In the life of a parish, we give of ourselves—our time, talents, and treasures or resources—in various ways to help others. While all ministers of the Church help serve the mission of the church, we separate out Ministries to refer to all Liturgical Ministries during Worship and Formation to focus on learning.

Formation

Worship

Worship involves a sense of a call from the Lord to serve and focus on spiritual life. It serves to build up the Body of Christ through personal and communal prayer.

Formation

Formation

Faith Formation, also referred to as Word, is our lifelong journey of learning and extending our knowledge about our Catholic faith.

Service

Service represents works of charity and justice. It’s a constitutive part of parish life and a duty that we cannot disregard. Through service we administer to the needs of others for the purpose of peace, justice, and human development.

Community

Community is the relationship with our parish family that draws us together. It centers around fellowship and being involved with one another using the time and resources we have.

You are encouraged to become involved in the life of St. Agnes Parish by joining one or more of the ministries and groups below. These are opportunities to live a life of stewardship and share the love of Christ Jesus with others. Spend some time exploring the four elements of Parish Life at St. Agnes and become involved in any way you are able.

Each aspect of Parish Life and Ministry includes participants who can be active members or volunteers. Active members are the members who lead, manage, and plan. Volunteers are used on an as needed for a specific task, project, or event. For a complete list of how to get involved in parish life at St. Agnes, view our Parish Life (A-Z) page.
