WHAT ARE SMALL FAITH SHARING GROUPS AND SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES?

Small Christian communities are groups of eight to 12 people who gather to pray, reflect on the Scripture or church teaching, support each other, and engage in action flowing from their sharing. The main purpose of being together is to grow in the understanding and practice of what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus.

Where two or three come together in my name, I am with them.

                                                                             ~ Matthew 18:20

Looking for a way to share and grow your faith with a small group of parishioners?

St. Agnes is responding to requests made during the synod meetings for small faith groups. The Pastoral Council chose a scripture based resource as a guide from Renew International.

Groups will begin meeting the week of February 19 and meet weekly for 6 weeks initially. There will be a variety of days, times, and locations for you to choose from.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about our faith in the company of each other. As Christ said, ‘Where two or more are gathered in my name, I am there.

Participating in small faith sharing groups can  make the connection between what we believe, what we celebrate at Mass and our daily lives; they help us to feel supported during trying times and share joy during happy times; they deepen our faith and our relationship with Jesus Christ through one another.
