The Bereavement Committee reaches out with compassion to grieving families. Members provide a reception after the funeral service of a parishioner as requested by the family. Volunteers of this committee do food prep and other services, such as logistical support, may be provided as needed.

This committee is looking for additional members. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please let us know.

In addition to providing a reception after a funeral service, in line with the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy found in the teachings of Jesus, the St. Agnes community provides support through our prayers and actions during difficult times by comforting the sorrowful and praying for the dead as we journey through this life.

Attending funerals of fellow parishioners, praying for the family, sending a card, making a call, or providing a home cooked meal are all ways to support a grieving family. Prayer is a powerful way to support others. Joining together in prayer for the living and the dead entrusts us all into God’s care.
